A free map of Tashkent that feels like a game

Walkman is a map of Tashkent that runs entirely in your browser. It finds real routes, guides you turn by turn with GPS, and searches 80,000 places in Uzbek, Russian and English — with no sign-up, no ads and no app to install.

• Routes by car (one-way streets, turn restrictions, rush-hour estimate), on foot, by metro with transfers, and by bus + metro
• GPS turn-by-turn navigation with voice, a round radar and rerouting
• Step-free walking routes and a safer route at night
• Opening hours ("open now"), bazaars, Uzbek food, halal places, prayer times and the nearest mosque
• Several stops with the best order, parking near your destination, share links and QR codes
• Car-screen mode for in-car browsers, EV chargers and a battery-on-arrival estimate
• A run tracker with leaderboards and live group runs — without servers
• Game extras: district banners, 100 hidden tags, and a story mode about old Tashkent

Any city in the world

Press the GPS button anywhere — Paris, New York, Bishkek, Lagos — and Walkman finds your city, builds its own road graph in your browser from the map tiles in a few seconds, and you can route, search and navigate. A minute later it adds speed limits, turn rules, buses, metro lines, opening hours and EV chargers from OpenStreetMap; prayer times follow the local time zone and method, run leaderboards are per city, and a short city story comes from Wikipedia. You can save an area (about 6 km) for offline use in Options. Maps of 1,000 cities →

Outside Tashkent: car trips between cities up to 6,000 km; travel times are estimates (no live traffic or timetables); the extra details depend on what volunteers have mapped and on the free public Overpass servers, which are sometimes busy — the map and routing keep working without them. To load a city, the approximate area you look at is sent to OpenFreeMap (tiles), the Overpass API and Wikipedia. Your exact GPS position stays on your device — unless you join a group run, which shares it live with that room. Details: Privacy.

Travel times are estimates — there is no live traffic or public-transport timetable.
